SUBMITTING TO THE EAST BAY REVIEW

The East Bay Review is committed to showcasing talented writers living in or with a strong connection to Northern California's East Bay Area, but encourages writers from everywhere to submit.

We only consider previously unpublished work which you can upload to the submissions portal after carefully reading the guidelines below.

You may submit work as often as you wish, but we ask that you wait for a response before submitting any additional work. ONLY ONE SUBMISSION PER GENRE. We are not interested in any one particular style of writing, and are not looking for work about any particular theme or topic. We are looking for engaging work from good writers.

Submissions should be no longer than 25 pages, and while flash fiction will certainly be considered, it would really have to “wow” the editors to have a chance. Please use standard formatting for prose submissions—Times New Roman, 12pt, Double Spaced (wingdings acceptable).

Be sure to include page numbers, and include full name, address, email and telephone in the top left corner of the first page only. Submissions that fall outside the parameters of the guidelines run the risk of going unread.
